Green curry

I slightly have caught a cold. To make feel hot, I made a green curry and ate it. I just mixed milk and curry paste and some vegetables, but it was quite delicious. I will try more elaborate curry next Sunday.

Today is bank holiday, so there is no school.
I will do my home work in my room.

I am tired because of yesterday’s one day trip. I spend time on staying in my room quietly. I could set up TV tuner successfully.

Cardiff

I went to a one day trip to Cardiff which is 3 hours from London on bus. Cardiff was a capital of Wales district.
Still now we can see Cardiff castle.
This castle has been from two thousands years. It has been repaired many times, so I could not know how much is originally from two thousand years. It was spectacular.

radio

I got a radio. German girl who lived across the corridor was going to back her country and she gave me her radio. She is my favorite friend and we talked a lot in the shared kitchen so I felt a little sorrow.
She gave me mint tea leaf and green tea leaf.
I am fond of tea, so I am happy to wide variety of tea. Of course, the radio also made me happy.

suddenly summer

Summer is beginning suddenly. Until yesterday, it was cold, and I wore many clothes against cold. Today I wore a sleeveless shirt.
According to weather forecast, it will be hot tomorrow.

I could not set up TV tuner. I could not find reasons.

I bought a TV tuner. I hesitate to buy for a week, but I decided to say goodbye to the life without TV. I want to see the face of the Piano-Man who was found on the shore of the southern England.
He has lost his memory.
I also have been able to see soup operas and news.

I bought a Jacket on my way home from school. Pale green color Jacket. This is my first time to buy clothes. I heard that two weeks later sale season is beginning.

When I came out from the shower room, a guy with just a towel on his hip was waiting for his turn. At the first days I used to be surprised to this situation because accommodations which are for both girls and boys are not usual in Japan.
In my country, accommodations are only for girls or only for boys.
But now I am not surprised to this situation because I know about my neighbors and I can trust more than before.

no cooking

I attended a birthday party for my accommodation friend. We brought some food and had a party. But I bring nothing, because everyone there was so good at cooking and I could not bring a halfway dish. I gave up cooking today.
For example, the guy who made the birthday cake was making cake so intensely.

I made spaghetti with my rice cooker.
I went to the bath room after I had put food materials in it and put the switch.
I found born out in the bottom of my rice cooker when I return to the kitchen.
But I could eat everything except born out and I found it delicious.

I made rice mixed with onions in the morning with my new rice cooker.
It was so delicious, and I was satisfied with its taste.
I could clear the problem of diet.

One week ago, I decided no cooking because cooking takes so much time and efforts, and sometime more expensive than eating out.
But I do not like eating out by myself.
Cooking by myself and eating out both troublesome.
At that time I recalled a good thing.
In Japan, there is a small boom among young people to cook various dishes with just a rice cooker. We can leave the kitchen during the cooking time and come back at an opportune moment.

For example, we can cook tomato spaghwtti with a rice cooker.
In this case, after putting pasta and tomato sauce from a can, what we have to do is leaving it for thirty minutes.
How lovely machine a rice cooker is! I think.
Yesterday I bought a rice cooker.
Today I made rice mixed with potato. It was so nice.

light evening

I started to sleep as soon as I arrived home.
When I wake up, I saw my clock.
The clock showed that the time was 8:00.
I was shocked and I started to prepare to go to school.
But something was strange, dare to say, it was noisy outside the window.
There were people who sing a song with guitar.
In the morning usually nobody sings because everyone just wakes up.
Beside of it, my hair was still wet. I took a shower before going to bed.
8:00 was not in the morning, but in the evening.
In London, it is light at 8:00 in the evening, and we can not make difference with 8:00 in the morning.

Today I was cold and raining. I wondered if Japan is hot now.

Niku-Jaga

Today I tried to make Niku-Jaga, a Japanese traditional and domestic dish.
To tell the truth, it did not seem like Niku-Jaga.
I think No Japanese will call my dish Niku-Jaga. It is difficult to get Japanese food materials in London.
For example, carrots in UK had a strong scent compared to Japanese ones and we can not get slice cut beefs proper for Niku-Jaga.
But I could say it was Niku-Jaga confidently because my friends in London are not able to tell whether it was Niku-Jagaor not.

I went to a home party which was hold in the house of my friend’s boyfriend.
This is my first time to visit a real English man’ s house.

Scottish Dance

I went to a Scottish dance party. This dance is a kind of high tempo folk dance with pairs.
The place the party was hold was humble and simple place like an elementary school gymnasium. But there was a real accordion band.
The people from the young age of high school students to the old age of grandfather and grandmother all enjoyed dancing.　Basically women had to wait men’s invitation to dance, so we had to wait with wistful faces. This situation also interesting to me. Sometime I went to a man who was looking for his new partner by myself.
Men who showed great enterprise wore tartan skirts. Tartan skirts are formal dress in the Scottish.
In my country, no man wears a skirt, so it seemed strange to me a little.
I sweat much, and I felt that bad things were going away with sweat.

two kinds of the lawyer

Today I went to the instuitution of lawyers on my course program.
I do not know the name exactly.
I heard that there are two kind of lawyer in UK. One is just to prepare to the trial, making document and gathering important information. The other is to present in the court. The former lawyer is not high income on each trial but he /she can gets job steadily. The late one is like a actor, if he or she gets a job, the income is big. But there is no guarantee to get job steadily.
My teacher said there is an examination to take a license to be the later lawyer. They have to present something with eating twelve times dinners.
At the dinner they have to drink too much, it is important thing to pass the exam.
I told my teacher that it must be unfair in this modern society because women are originally not strong for alcohol compared to men.
My teacher answered me that the lawyers of the actors are usually all male.
I never heard this story before.
UK is interesting country.

Today, we went other two places.
One is Sir John Soane's Museum .The other is Somerset house.Sir John Soane is famouse collector of antiquities and art treasures.Somerset house is huge, so we could see enough.

I have nothing to say. I went to school and go back.

debate preparation

Tomorrow I am doing a debate presentation.
So, today I am preparing for the presentation. The Topic I and my partner are debating is “Smoking should be banned in all public places”.
My personal opinion is on the side of for, but in this debate I am on the side of against.
Smokers pay mach tax because of high rate tax on cigarettes. In London, % of the price is the tax. So smokers contribute our society so much.
In this way, I support smokers.
In spite of so hard persecution, smokers never give up smoking. I am astonished by this fact.

Today I have nothing to say. I was tired, and I started to sleep at 6:00 pm.
I continued to sleep until 7:00 am.
So I slept for 13 hours.
I recognize that I am no tough again.
But I am always healthy, and after long sleep, I am fine.

Korean Festival

Korean film festival is hold in London in this week.
Today, I went to see a Korean movie after school at Leicester Sq. The fee was free because of 　Korean film festival
The movie I watched is a story about a child who is a bully boy in a elementary school. The way he behaves is funny and it recalls us our childhood.
The festival is going to hold until Friday. I have another film which I really want to watch.
I enjoy life in London.

Home Party

I was invited to a home party in an accommodation shareing kitchen.
I made friends with some people in the dining room. Those people invited me.
I made miso-soup with Potate. I boiled potatos as a representative of Japan.
At the party, dishes on the table are all delicious.
These dishes may be the best dishes I ever have in London.
When we started to eat, everyone stopped talking and concentrated our attention on eating.
It was very quiet.
It was a little bit funny.
Sometime, I could not understand what they were talking. But I asked , someone explained me
kindly.
I could have very good time.

I want to see Phantaman, a musical.
Today ,I have a plan to go to TKTS,a ticket shop, to get tickets, but too tired to get there.
I slept three hours after I washed my clothes and cleaned my room.

My english school just started about three weeks ago, so my home works are not so mach now.
But I have some homeworks.
I did my home work to prepare to dabe the topic, " some job never should be done by wemen".
I am on the for side.
My parsonal opinion is also for.
I have had a hope to be a man, and alway I tired, because I want powers which men posesses.
But I have recogmized repeatedly that women and man are different.
I never mean women are inferer but different.
We do not discrimination but we need clasification.

I bougt a big steak meat at the supermaket to become fine, but I could not cook my meat.
Mt falat mates are now on diet, so I felt guity to eat a big meat before them.
In sread of my meat , I cooked a tomato supageti. I was not delicious.
I could eat only half of them.
I will reat my meat at the mid night or early inthe morning.

Shall I take a rest?

I have stayed in my almost whole day.I am tired , so this is a good rest for me.

East London

I went to Eest End in London with Jin, my university friend, and Tai his colleague,.There were so many markets.For example ,Sopital market, Colonbia market , Indian town.I bought a fly pan. I chose a flying pan which have 4 inch depth.It is good because I can use for burning and boiling.It cost ￡6.I made tomate-bacon spaghetti.30th April 2005(saturday)I went to the Regent’s park with my friends.
