Business call

I often use English at work. However I am not really educated in business English.
I can communicate with people in English however I do not have confidence in Business English.

Japanese and Business Japanese are so different and almost like a different language.

Today, I made a business telephone call in English. The content is not really complicated and really easy. I also prepare what I talk.

When I want to enclose our conversation, I say “thank you” and I expect him to say “Good bye”.
However he was so kind and waited what I was going to ask next.
So I say “thank you” again.
I asked my native friend, what can be a good remark of “good-bye”. He said that “Thank you for your time. ” is good to say in this situation.
I think even in Japanese we say that way too.

I am so scared of being rude. Obviously I do not try to rude, however people pick up something small and got angry especially in Japanese business environment.
I remember my first day of company, I say “Good morning ” to people.
People got angry with it. I asked the reason. They say that my behaviour is so careless to people.
Since people might have worked over night and if someone say “good morning”, that sound hit their head. So I am supposed to just bow.
I asked them “Did you work over night? ” . They said that “No, we did not this time. BTW your question sound so offensive. Why can you just say yes, sir? ”

I am afraid that I have some special talent to sound offensive although I do not mean anything at all.
I think as far as I try to be polite and nice, people do not need to get angry.
I want to work more western company so that I do not need to care something small.
I do not say, in western environment, I am allowed to make a mistakes.
I just believe they do not care something not important.
To work in western environment is one of my dream.

I think my conversation at my company is quite interesting.
I should keep and broadcast. They are funny as well.
