In computing, firmware is a computer program that is embedded in a hardware device, for example a microcontroller
As its name suggests, firmware is somewhere between hardware and software.
The most famouse firmware is Bios.
This is enbeded in a small chip on the motherborad.
When we boot the computer, Bios detect which recognizes and initiate component hardware (such as hard disk, floppy and optical disk drives).

Do you think if I get to now computer science one by one, in the end, I can be strong in this field?

Anything you learn is useful, but maybe the quickest way to gain skills is to decide you want to do something (e.g. write a small program) and just try to do it. You then find you need to learn certain things, and because you're also using them you remember them better.
What sort of direction do you want to go in? IT is a big field.

I have many things to do. Usually when I tried and stick to the problem quite long. I read much documentation however I do not get many things.
I think you are right, I should like small programs. I will try to figure out bash.
