Tomoko's Blog

Originally I made this blog to communicate with with my friends I made with in London . I arrived in London at 14th April 2005 and this is my start studying here. I like computer staff and would like to develop knowledge in that field . I am getting some knowledge from my friends who are so much in that field. So I would like to try what I get and put them on this blog which is useful and understandable for non computer expert person besides my personal diary.

Isolation

My life in London was not good recently. What I suffered most is the isolation. Are you the person who can understand the pain of isolation? If you are a house wife, I think probably you can understand this. I remember, my mother said that after she married and moved to Tokyo with my father, she was not happy.

My mother is from a southern part of Japan, Kyushu. She was not familiar with Tokyo and it was really hard to make friends in that urban cities. I know many wives experienced isolation.

I need interaction with many people in my daily life. Without it, I start to feel anxious.

I made some precious friends in London and I am the person who decided to stay in London and LOVE London.

Sometimes I went to a pub by myself. At the pub there are many people who come with friends and looks happy. Something like three girls and boys. They might be old uni friends or colleagues. I wanted to be a part of it somehow. Maybe my stay is still too short to find many close people around me in London.

Beside the isolation,I am still working on my dissertation and just stayed in the room. I am reading huge amount of article and for me it is quite hard. Technical article sometimes required structured knowledge to understand however quite often I am lack of it. Every time I needed find out what knowledge I need to add and that required more article.

You might not believe I like studying and learning new things. It is really exciting.
