My mistake

I borrow an accounting dictionary from one of managers in the different department from me.
I worked for him a bit.
I forgot to return it to him. Actually visited him to return but he was not there at that time. It was possible to put it on his desk with a small memo with thanks and my name. However I thought I want to return it when he was there.

So I just put it on my desk so that I can return it anytime.
Today he came to my desk and asked me to return it. It was a extreme fault.
It is like I do not respect him although I do so much. And I made him walk to come to my desk to pick up it.

In this country, it is an extreme disrespect to people.
You might think it is such a small thing however here it is not. It is a kind of expression. If you express how you think, people misunderstand you. To survive in a company, it is a death or alive issue.
