Valentine chocolate

I gave some chocolate to my company people as a greeting.
I only do this to person who I really have some affection simply.
I would like to describe two impressive person among I gave chocolate.

One of them was a partner in our department. He graduated from the school same as mine. Since I choose a really cute chocolate, I asked him to open and he said that my chocolate was prettiest among the chocolate he received this year. I asked him how many he received this year. Although he has beautiful wife, I think he receives many chocolate every year. He did not answer to my question and smiled.

One other person was my mentor. My company has a mentor system and when I have some problem I consult him. Sometimes his comments are helpful( and sometimes not.)
What I am sure about him is that he gives me the best comments he can think of and he even act for my problem in the best way he can think of.
When I gave him a chocolate his face looked a bit awkward. I guess he was afraid that this chocolate was not just a greeting but meant more. If he misunderstood that way, he should look happier, I think.
